Our fun trip to Carowinds! 🙂
We enjoyed a most epical day at Carowinds yesterday!
Carowinds is on the border of North Carolina, and south Carolina, so it's really neat that you can walk back and forth between the two states.
(Or you can stand on both states at once!)
There's just nothing like that Fury 325 roller coaster! The world's tallest, fastest, giga coaster.
When you get to the top, it's 325 feet high, which in reference is taller than the statute of Liberty - BTW, and when you start to roll down the steep peak, you can't even see the track in front of you; and then it literally goes 95 MPH!
No video or picture does it justice. It's so exhilarating!
I would say the drive there, and the price for the whole package is worth it just to ride the Fury.
It's really fun at dark too, because they have lights all over it, and the tunnel it shoots through is all lit up as well - a very nice experience.
It's funny, because the main two rides that we enjoy the most are like a mile apart from each other, and at first, we were just walking between the two of them, until someone had the brilliant idea of running to the next ride! So we literally would run back and forth between the two favorite roller coasters! 😁
We were thoroughly exhausted last night when we finally were done.
It was really hot, you guys! At one point it was 103 degres! And sadly, 2 people that were standing in line near us, passed out from heat exhaustion!
They try to avoid that, with free cold water, shades, fans blowing on crowds, etc... But it apparently still happens. Atleast they didn't pass out on the actual rides, because that would probably have killed them.
But, atleast by the evening, everything cooled down.
When we got our lunch/ dinner, I was pretty happy to find a place that serves meat and vegetables - what I would normally eat. So, I got beef brisket, and broccoli slaw.
We also got some Iced coffes at Starbucks, it was so refreshing and delicious!
Anyway, we're all sore and beat up today, but it was well worth it. Haha 😁
(The other girls got some gluten free pizza! )

Yeah, it was pretty sad. But really if your health is that fragile you shouldn’t be riding crazy rides like that anyway. Just sayin’…

You guys are crazy. Although I’d love to try out that Fury one day myself. With all the work y’all do, I’m sure that trip was well deserved. And I like your writing Grace. I don’t know how you do it.
