Our crazy schedule/ random post!

Life's been crazy around here lately. There's just a lot going on this time of year.

We're also in a heat wave right now, so if you're outside for more than 5 minutes, you're going to be covered in sweat! It was literally 100 degrees down in the valley on Monday, and 88 degrees up here on Bent Mountain - which is really high for us mountain folks, even the animals aren't used to it.

But, at night it was 90 degrees in the city, and 73 degrees up here. Quite the difference!

How do I know that? Because we worked the dreaded night shift on Monday... Then the morning shift on Tuesday. After work yesterday, we went to Lowe's to grab some water valves. We noticed a guy there having a hard time getting his wood to cooperate. He was Stacking 23 2x4x14 pieces on top of his pickup, and every time he tied to ratchet them, the whole pile would tumble!

The poor guy was only like 21 years old, and it's like 98 degrees outside, and it was just time to help. So, we helped him get all that done, and gave him a gospel tract.

He was most appreciative!

Anyway, after we got home, I was very glad that Faith took charge of trimming all the goat hooves, because I had a “thousand things" to do. Although, she didn't want to do the big bucks because ... Well, they're kinda crazy!

So,I helped her later with that.

We got a lot of work around here caught up, and I was able to mend some goat fencing, and vacuum all the floc out of our pool.

(Which always takes forever!)

It was a good day.
