Close calls!!! 🫨 Real life stories…

One day, we all drove to a nearby Mountain that had Public trails. The plan was to bike up the mountain, then bike back down. It ended up being too Steep to bike up, so we walked our mountain bikes up to the top instead, with the plan to hop on our bikes at the peak, and hit the trails all the way down.

What fun, right? Anyway, after we finally made it up to the top, we began to head down - on our bikes. At first, it was kind of fun, I wasn't going too fast, and the curves weren't that bad.

But, as we continued, we picked up speed, and before I knew it, I was going way too fast!

I Couldn't see anyone, because they were all going fast too. All I Knew was that Hope was somewhere behind me. I looked to my right, and there's literally a 50-70 foot drop off into a rocky river! And then I made a bad mistake.

I went to put my foot down while I was flying down this mountain, thinking it would help slow me down. The split second I did that, my bike flipped

me off the side of the mountain!

Thankfully, I got caught in a bunch of thorn bushes, before fully heading down the drop - off! Then, here comes Hope… Boy was I glad to see her! I needed her help to pull me up off this steep slope.

The worst part? I had to get back on my bike, and Finish the mountain trail! When we finally caught up with everyone, they were all staring at my bloody arms and legs, and were just like,

"What happened to you?!"

Definitely was not my favorite hobby after that.

A couple of months ago, we had a bad winter storm, and our drive-way was a solid sheet of ice.

Going down that morning was fine, but coming back up later on in as a whole different scenario!

We thought we’d be fine with our 4-WD, but we were wrong.

So, we hit it full speed, started heading up, then, We started heading backwards!

We were uncontrollably sliding backwards, and straight for the drop-off accross the street! What really made me panicky was when my Dad Says, "What do I do?" I'm like - great! Even Dad is scared!

At the last second, the tires were able to grip some asphalt, and the car finally

stopped. God is good.

One time, we were heading down Bent Mountain, when suddenly the brakes on our truck failed!

Thankfully, my Dad knew to slowly lower the gears, and use the engine to brake us instead.

Not many know that trick, and would have just died instead. We made it out just fine. Just three of our close calls here, but we are definitely thankful to the Lord for His astounding protection!
