Today we celebrate… My Dad! 🩵💙

The most influential person in my life! I wouldn’t be what I am today apart from the impact of my Dad. 

I am beyond thankful for the wisdom he’s instilled in me over the past 25 years of being alive. I really don’t know of anyone else who takes Jesus and The Bible more seriously than him. Or that can mine out doctrines/ in depth teachings as thorough as he does. His gift of teaching/ ability to explain hard truths is definitely untouched!

I’ve always known that if I ever have any question, my Dad can answer it. 

Among the many, many incredible things he has instilled in us, a few that stand out are, most importantly- always put Jesus first, be an overachiever, give it your all, don’t give up for anything, and always show kindness the ones who need it most. Like the overwhelmed cashier, the frazzled waiter, the worn out construction workers in the hot sun, the guy holding the stop sign- who’s receiving dirty looks all day for “inconveniencing” everyone, the kid at the skatepark that doesn’t have a supportive Dad around, the broken down car on the side of the road that everyone is passing, etc… 

I’ve known my Dad to open his wallet, and literally empty out everything he has and give it to someone in need! 💙

(Being a giving kind of person runs in the family from both of my parents. 😊)

A common question from my Dad is, “Is there anything y’all want?” Or, “Is there something y’all need while I’m at this place?” It’s really sweet and thoughtful. 🩵💙

I’ve often admired his ability to always know just what to say at the right time. He can soften up the meanest of people, and cause the least expected to laugh. 😊 It’s definitely one of his gifts! 

My Dad has a ton of abilities and talents, he can do just about anything! Among others, he can do mechanical work, electrical work, building/ remodeling, (which must be why I really enjoy those things!) digital creating/editing and film making, he’s an amazing skateboarder, he can juggle- really well, he plays the harmonica just lovely, he’s always been an astounding chef, has the cutest handwriting/ creative lettering skills (no wonder we’re all into that!), and most importantly, he can literally open any jar! 😁 

I have great compassion and sympathy for those who grew up without a Dad (like him, sadly…) because I definitely don’t know what that’s like. 

So, on this day, I would like to wish him a very Happy Father’s Day! He truly deserves it! 💙💙💙

(He’s also an animal Dad to 2 dogs, a goat, a hen, and a rooster!) 💙💙💙
